• Assessment of the fire behaviour of building materials

The test method is used to assess the fire behavior of building materials. The flame treatment in the test procedure simulates the resistance of products to the effects of flame. The test method is also suitable for checking the uniformity of behaviour in the presence of flames and for comparing products. In this test method, four building material samples are arranged in a fire shaft like a chimney around a square gas burner and exposed to a defined flame treatment.
